Students have the opportunity to develop management expertise through interdisciplinary experiences in agriculture technology and business oriented coursework. Graduates are prepared to solve a wide variety of business and technical problems in a job field that continues to grow.Agricultural Systems Management students receive broad agricultural training with a business and management emphasis in one of the following areas: plant production, livestock production, food and fiber processing, environmental information management, water/irrigation, and processing and manufacturing. The program provides an in-depth technical knowledge for selecting and applying advanced technologies in the food system. While traditional computer programming is not taught, ASM students graduate with more computer application experience than any other students in the Agricultural complex.Īgricultural Systems Management students also take a series of courses in communications, business management and biological sciences, in addition to their specialty courses based in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department.
